Thank you to our amazing Glenridge staff, it was fun to celebrate you all week!
Thank you to Heather Reich and all her volunteers for helping to organize our week of fun! Staff members were treated to decorations, a scavenger hunt, lunch, breakfast and a bag of goodies. Fun was had by everyone!

Glenridge students in third through sixth grade will begin taking standardized reading and math state test on Monday, May 13th and will continue through May 24th.  Our fifth grade students will all take the science standard test May 28th through May 31.
Help your students do their best:
  • Arrive on time (students should be in line to enter the building at 9:07, testing begins first thing in the morning)
  • Breath deeply
  • Rest well!
  • Eat a healthy breakfast (breakfast is available at school)
  • Always read the directions
  • Take your time, there is no need to rush
  • Have confidence in yourself (You Can Do It)
  • Energize, stretch during breaks
  • Remember all electronics must be turned off and in backpacks or left at home, this includes cell phones and smartwatches.
We know everyone will do great!

Ralph Breaks the Internet!

Video game bad guy Ralph and fellow misfit Vanellope von Schweetz must risk it all by traveling to the World Wide Web in search of a replacement part to save Vanellope's video game, "Sugar Rush." In way over their heads, Ralph and Vanellope rely on the citizens of the internet -- the netizens -- to help navigate their way, including an entrepreneur named Yesss, who is the head algorithm and the heart and soul of trend-making site BuzzzTube.

PTO Update 4/28/19

Thank You Kent Schools Foundation

Glenridge was the lucky recipient of not one but two Kent Schools Foundation grants in March!
The first grant supports our Choose Kind efforts. Grant money was used to purchase books focused on kindness. The books will be used in kindness lessons in each grade level throughout our school. Our students and school community are beyond grateful for the opportunity to grow kindness at Glenridge.
The second grant went to our Art Docent Program. Grant money will be used to purchase new art supplies, replacing what has been used up and worn out. It's so wonderful to see our students and arts in schools supported!

PTO Update 4/14/19

THANK YOU!

The Glenridge PTO appreciates all of our dedicated volunteers who generously give their time and talents to the Voyagers we support. Public school volunteers make a difference in the quality of our schools and the success of our students!
Volunteering at Glenridge is a great way to show your kids that you take an interest in their education, and it sends a positive message that you consider school a worthwhile cause. If you would like to sign up to volunteer please follow the steps here, contact the PTO or join us at our meeting April 16th at 7:00 pm in the Glenridge library.

Congratulations!

Congratulations to the cast and crew of the Shrek the Musical Jr! What an amazing two nights of performances! All of your hard work and dedication really paid off! We look forward to seeing what you will do next!

Thank You!

Putting on a production like Shrek the Musical Jr takes lots of hands and thankfully so many of you were able to help out. A big THANK YOU to Erin Balla, Beth Hillberry, and Zane McCune who made sure our students had a drama program this year, our students take so much away from the experience. Thank you to the staff members who shared their time, talents and loaned us so much of their precious space. Thank you to the parents, so many of you showed up and helped with everything, from keeping track of the kids to building the sets. A heartfelt thank you to our community members who recognize how an experience like this will benefit many. We also want to thank you, the families who came out to watch our students show off their months of hard work, they were so excited to show their friends and family what they've been working on.
We asked you to bring donations for our classrooms, by the second half of the year so much needs replacing, and you came through in ways we couldn't imagine! The pile of donations was such a wonderful sight! The monetary donations will go to help fill in areas we missed and was very much appreciated.
While the curtain has been closed on this amazing season we look forward to a new adventure next year!

PTO Nominations

We will be accepting nominations for the upcoming school year’s PTO Board at our next meeting (April 16th). Being a PTO Board member gives you a chance to help shape your child’s school experience, and have a voice in the planning and funding of Glenridge PTO programs and events. Board members will be asked to attend a monthly board meeting, as well as attend our events as an active member. As of this moment, we have had three volunteers step forward with an interest in our PTO Board and two who would like to chair an event, without more volunteers, events will be canceled next year, please consider how you can give your time. When more parents get involved, we can accomplish so much more. Glenridge needs our time, talent, and commitment.
