What is PBIS?

Glenridge is currently using a school-wide approach to behavior called PBIS. Positive behavior is explicitly taught by classroom teachers and celebrated through Voyager tickets, Golden Awards, and other celebrations. We work hard to keep high expectations and support all students in learning appropriate behavior by providing different levels of support to encourage success.
In the Classroom
During the next several weeks in 3rd grade, we will be studying various Native American tribes including Wampanoag, Cheyenne, and Hopi. Students will be learning about the history, geography, economics, and culture of these tribes.
We are also going to perform in the Dec. 19 assembly by performing “Night Before Christmas.”

PTO Movie Night

Ever since he was a kid monster, Mike, dreamed of becoming a Scarer. To make his dream a reality, he enrolled in school. During the first few days he meets James, a natural-born Scarer. James and Mike engage in a fierce rivalry that ultimately gets them both kicked out of the elite Scare Program. To make things right, Mike and James--along with a bunch of misfit monsters -- will have to learn to work together.
Come see this month's selection Friday, December 12th at  6:30 pm in the Glenridge cafeteria. This is a free event for students and their families.  Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support school programs. This is not a drop off event, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
