Glenridge PTO Drama Club with Heavier Than Air Family Theatre Present

The Granny Awards!

Tonight's the night we've all been waiting for! Yes, Granny, who has retired from show business, will be honoring all of our favorite fairy tale characters! Who will win Best Female and Male Vocalist? Best Dramatic Scene? Best Choreography? And the coveted Best Villain Award? And don't forget to keep an eye on that nasty Big Bad Wolf as he tries to steal the treasured Granny Award.

Join us Thursday, April 2 and Friday, April 3 at 7:00 pm in the Glenridge auditorium where students will perform the Granny Awards. Please bring classroom supplies in lieu of admission.

Keep collecting your Box Tops and Labels for Education, a new contest is coming soon.  Wondering what to save or where to save them? Check out ideas on our website.
Spring cleaning? Set aside your unwanted books, books that you've outgrown or books that you loved and want to share. Later this year the PTO will be hosting a book exchange, more details to follow.

Volunteers are needed to put together the yearbook. Help record memories that will last a lifetime. If you would like to help or would like to share photos that you have taken at school events (cell phone photos are great) please contact Lisa Rohlfing.

Attention 6th Grade Parents

Meeker Middle school PTSA  is looking for officers for next year.
  • Treasurer (this year's Treasurer will still be at the school next year to help mentor a new person.  Much easier than Elementary School Treasurer jobs.)
  • Membership Chairperson
  • Book Fair Co-Chairperson (We need another person to help coordinate.  It is a very well established program.)
  • Spirit Wear Chairperson (We only sell once a year.)
  • VP of Fundraising (We usually only do one a year.  This year we added an extra one... Menchies.)
  • VP of Programs (This is a coordinator role.  Everyone steps in to help at each program.)
  • Staff Appreciation Chairperson (We have three staff meals -- a Breakfast, Dinner and Dessert Bar, and one week of treats in May.)
If you are interested in filling a position please contact Meeker PTSA President,  Lori Macauley at 253-850-8113.

Clothing Bank Volunteers

The Kent School District has a clothing bank run by the Kent area PTA and they are looking for volunteers for Wednesday, March 25th, 5:30 – 8:00 pm. Although we are a PTO and not a PTA, we encourage everyone to support them. This clothing bank serves families throughout the district.  Besides volunteers, they are always looking for donations of gently used clothing and new packages of socks/underwear (all sizes).
