Art, Books and Popcorn! PTO WEEKLY UPDATE 5/31/15

Glenridge Art Night and Book Sale Thursday, June 4, 2015 6:30 - 8:00 pm   • Come see the art your students have         created under the guidance of the Art         Docent program! • Have a snack! • Participate in art activities! • Take home some new books for   summer reading! Items priced at $1 or       less. Cash and check only please.   While the deadline to donate has passed, we've been asked, "Is it too late to bring books and DVDs in?" It's never too late to want to help!  If you have items you'd like to donate, the book boxes remain in the hall and will be checked daily for new donations.  If you have any other questions please contact us. Be sure to stop by on June 4th to pick up some new reads for your family. Box Tops and Labels for Education Contest In the last contest of the school year, Mrs. McCutchen’s class is in the lead with 557 box tops/labels! But the contest isn't over yet. Make sure to turn yours in by Friday June 5th. Make sure you check the pantry, fridge and freezer. Remember to send all your labels in an envelope/bag marked with your name and your teacher's name. Popcorn Friday   Friday, June 5th popcorn will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send 50¢ to school, please bring the exact change, it will help the process move faster and give students more time to enjoy their popcorn. Money raised support Glenridge programs.

PTO Meeting The next Glenridge PTO meeting is Tuesday, June 9th at 7:00 pm in the Glenridge library, free childcare is provided for those who need it.    We want you to be apart of the planning process! Come help make plans for the 2015-2016 school year.  Your support is needed to help us carry on the Glenridge tradition of a Fall Carnival, Holiday Breakfast, Family Dance, Movie Nights and more. We will also be deciding on fundraisers for next year. Without financial support, the school will not have Accelerated Reader, Raz Kids or field trip transportation. Help us make 2015-2016 another great year.  PTO Movie Night After his son is captured in the Great Barrier Reef and taken to Sydney, a timid clownfish sets out on a journey to bring him home. Come see this month's selection on PTO Movie Night Friday, June 12th in the Glenridge cafeteria. This is a free event for students and their families. Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support school programs. This is not a drop off event; children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Value Village Donation Drive This Fall Start putting aside your outgrown and unwanted clothing! No purchases necessary, just save all those clothing items that you, your kids and other family members no longer need or want. Glenridge will earn money from our donations. More details to come!
