PTO SUMMER UPDATE 07/31/16

We hope everyone is having a wonderful summer!  The PTO is already making plans for the 2016-2017! We'd love to have you help! Email the PTO to find out how you can join us. There's an exciting year ahead and we need you to help to make it great! Read Around the Clock Have your kids been participating in the Glenridge Summer Reading Challenge? Every student who returns a reading log with parent signature when school starts will be entered into a raffle and every time a reading goal is met students earn additional prizes! Make sure you are keeping track of your pages and minutes! Just because it's summer doesn't mean you can't help. There are lots of ways to contribute: Fred Meyer donates to Glenridge every time you use your Fred Meyer Rewards Card. ALL Fred Meyer Rewards Cards need to be relinked! Shop Using AmazonSmile and Amazon will contribute .05% of all qualifying purchases. Register your Bartell Drug card with eScrips and earn money for Glenridge each visit. Smith Brothers Farms earns $20 for Glenridge with every new sign up. Please put Glenridge Elementary in the "How did you hear about us" field. Keep saving Box Tops each one earns 10¢ for Glenridge. Put aside all your outgrown clothes for a Value Village fundraiser in the fall. Use Shoparoo and your smartphone to take pictures of your shopping receipts. You can write a check or send cash in any amount and even specify where you would like the money spent like Accelerated Reader, field trip transportation, drama or classroom supplies. It's tax deductible too! Be sure to check with your employer many great companies will make matching donations!

School Supplies With only four weeks left of summer, it's time to start gathering school supplies! Get the list of what your student needs for kindergarten here and first grade through sixth grade here.  Be sure to follow our Facebook page for weekly updates on the best deals. Volunteer Volunteers are an important part of the team of people that make Glenridge Elementary a strong and effective learning environment. Anyone can be a volunteer; moms, dads, grandparents, aunts and uncles. Just stop by the office, fill out a short form and have your fingerprints taken.

Back to School Ice Cream Social & Reading Night  Come meet your teacher, drop off school supplies and have a cold treat!
