PTO Update 02-26-17

Red, White & Hat Day and Reading and Art Night Tuesday, February 28th, come to school dressed in red and white from head to toe to celebrate Dr. Seuss! There will be a prize for the class with the most students dressed up! Come to Reading and Art Night, Tuesday, February 28th  6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Bring your family back to school for reading and art activities, come have free milk and cookies and every toddler to 6th grade student receives a free book! Lots of fun for the whole family, see you there! Box Top Scramble Winner  Our contest has come to an end and our big winner is the first grade! They will be rewarded with extra recess time very soon! Together we brought in over 2,800 Box Tops for over $280! Keep collecting! We are $283 away from our $1000 goal. If each student brought in another 7 Box Tops before the end of the year we would make it! We will be announcing one last contest to gather labels soon!

Jamba Juice Tuesday Jamba Juice smoothie sales will take place during afternoon recess on Tuesday, February 28th. Remember to send $2 with your child to school! Proceeds support Glenridge PTO programs like field trip transportation and Accelerated Reader. Popcorn Friday Friday, March 3rd popcorn will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send 50¢ to school. Sending the exact change will help the process move faster and give students more time to enjoy their popcorn. Money raised will support Glenridge programs.

Popcorn Volunteer Needed We need a volunteer (or two) to help with two popcorn dates in March or April so you can be trained and May when you will need to be in charge. If you can help please contact the PTO. Class and Group Photo Day Tuesday, March 7th classes and student body groups will be photographed. Please be sure to bring or wear group uniforms. Orders are optional. To order pictures, order forms and money are due at the beginning of school March 7th. Please make checks out to Foto 1 or send exact change: we do not carry change. Glenridge Spring Break Family Dance Set aside March 9th and join us for an evening of fun, while we raise money for new playground toys.  During the Chicken Dance (and all night) we will bring around the giant pineapple to fill with money! Help bring new balls, goals and jump ropes to our classrooms. The more money raised the more we can buy!   We Need Help Do you like to bake?  Or maybe a visit to the bakery is more your speed?  We would love to include your small homemade or store bought treats in our bake sale!  Items will be sold at the Glenridge Spring Break Family Dance on March 9 and priced at 50¢ - $1.00. If you would like to contribute, please contact the PTO. We are still in need of volunteers to help out that night, from decorating to clean up, contact us to help out!
