PTO Update 10/28/18

Thank You! Thank you to Julie Salazar the Glenridge staff, and all of the volunteers that came together to help put on our annual Fall Carnival! Because of you, the carnival was a very festive and fun night! Thank you to Alicia Glenwell, the Glenridge Library staff and all of our Book Fair Helpers! You helped to bring new books not only to our shoppers but to the entire school! Thank you to Heather Reich and the volunteers that helped put together dinner for our Glenridge staff during goal setting week. It's a very busy time for them and it gives them one less thing to do. Finally a very big thank you to all of you! our events are successful because you take the time out of your busy lives to join us at our events.   Otis Spunkmeyer Fundraiser DUE Thursday Our Fall Fundraiser ends this Thursday, November 1st! If you haven't done so already, please take a moment to look through the packet, register online, and share with family and friends. Every little bit helps us to achieve our goal, allowing the PTO to fund field trip transportation, RAZ Kids, Accelerated Reader, educational materials used in the classroom and more. Please make sure to return your bear coupons all week at lunchtime (if your student brings lunch from home, you can put them right in their lunch box!). Don't forget to turn in the good deed coupon! it's been so fun seeing all the nice things the kids have done for other people! If your student turned their coupons into the box on the stage last week bears will be delivered to teachers for distribution on Monday. Donations are always welcome and can be made with cash or check and left at the office or made online. Popcorn Friday Friday, November 9th, popcorn will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send 50¢ to school. Please send the exact change. Money raised will support Glenridge PTO programs. Remind App Do you use the remind app? Get PTO reminders sent right to your phone! Just download, put in our class code: grpto and never forget about a Popcorn Friday (11/9), PTO Meeting (11/13) or due date (Fundriaser ends 11/1) again! PTO Family Movie Night November 9th at 6:30 PM See the movie that inspired this year's drama production!   An ogre living alone in a swamp is suddenly invaded by a horde of fairy tale characters, such as the Big Bad Wolf and the Three Little Pigs, all refugees of their homes who have been shunned by the evil Lord Farquaad. This is a free event for students and their families.  Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support PTO programs.  This is not a drop off event; children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Holiday Breakfast Canceled Our annual Holiday Breakfast is in danger of being canceled! We need a new Holiday Breakfast Coordinator! Scheduled for the morning of December 1st, you will have the full support of the PTO board and the tools to make this a successful event. If you would like to organize this year's holiday Breakfast contact the PTO today!
