Kent schools are closed, but we’re right here!

The Glenridge Elementary PTO is committed to supporting our school community during the COVID-19 outbreak.  Please see the information below for ways to lend a hand or receive support.

Glenridge community video call

Join the Glenridge PTO for a weekly community video call for families connected to Glenridge Elementary School.  Check in with your neighbors, share resources, and stay connected as we practice safe social distancing!

This will be our first time with this kind of call, so please be patient as we figure out how to use the technology. Depending on the number of people who join, we may break into smaller groups within the call.

Kent supports currently available

  • Free Breakfast and Lunch provided by the Kent School District to all children, up to age 18, whether or not on the Free or Reduced Meal Program. Available for pickup Monday-Friday between 10-11am at ten locations around the district. The child or teen must be 18 years old or younger and present to receive free meals.   • The PTO has started a Mutual Aid Network as a way for neighbors to help neighbors in the Glenridge community!  Grocery delivery, emotional support check-ins, pet care, video playdates, meal prep – there are lots of ways we can support each other while still staying safe!

  • Kent Food Bank and Emergency Services is distributing food in pre-packed boxes at the East Food Bank entrance Wednesdays and Fridays, 10am-1pm.  The Clothing Bank is currently closed.  More information available HERE.


  • We are working on other ideas, including stand-alone food pantries and a way to accept donated gift cards and cash – stay tuned for updates and email us at GlenridgePTO@gmail.com to help out!
