November 2020 Newsletter
We are almost to the end of our Apex Leadership Co program!
Students have the chance to help our school (and our classroom) by earning
pledges.
You can still register your students at: www.myapexevent.com/glenridge-elementary-remix
This will allow you to participate in our fundraising program and
earn prizes that you can pick up Friday the 13th from 3:30 -5:30pm
at school.
The most effective way to support our fundraising program is to
click on the blue "SHARE" button on your student's site. Here you can
share it on Facebook, Twitter, via text messages and email!
Thank you so much for supporting Glenridge Elementary!
A huge THANK YOU to Ms. Erica for hosting the PTO Fall Party! Over 60 Glenridge students participated in an awesome scavenger hunt, pumpkin craft, and BINGO game - it was a fabulously fun and festive event! You can check out some the awesome artwork on our Facebook page.
PTO Equity Team
The PTO Equity Team is forming now! The team aims to ensure that Glenridge offers all students equity in educational opportunities and that the PTO is an organization where all Glenridge families are represented. Email elderty77@icloud.com to learn more and get connected!
Translation Volunteers Needed
Make sure if you plan to volunteer with the PTO or at school at all this year: classroom, art docent, etc., that you complete your VIPS background check. These back checks need to be renewed every year. All volunteers must be VIPS approved before they can volunteer in our school district.

Please join us for our next PTO meeting Tuesday December 8th, 6:30-8pm. Zoom link and meeting agenda will be posted on our website and Facebook page the day before
Become a Glenridge Art Docent
Laptop Support
The Kent School District (KSD) Customer Support Center (CSC) offers ongoing laptop support by appointment on Thursdays from 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Make an appointment and visit the KSD Administration Center to:
- Have your laptop repaired or swapped out for another.
- Pick up a laptop for a KSD student.
- Drop off a laptop for a student leaving KSD.
- Pick up a hotspot (quantities are extremely limited due to national shortages).
If you are unable to pick-up a device during a Thursday appointment, please contact your school's principal to see what other options may be available to you.
