PTO WEEKLY UPDATE 02/22/15

Monday, February 23rd is the last day to turn in all the Box Tops and Labels for Education you've been saving! Send them to school in a bag/envelope marked with your student's and teacher's name.  The class that collects the most will win a pizza party!  All proceeds go to field trip transportation and school programs. Shout Out To: Lisa Rohlfing for coordinating the great Glenridge Ice Skating Night. Sno-King ice arena for donating the proceeds from Skating Night to Glenridge. Student Council students and parent volunteers for helping with both the Valentine fundraiser sales and the Scholastic Book Fair. Jamba Juice Tuesday Tuesday, February 24th Jamba Juice will sold during afternoon recess, remember to send $2 to school. Money raised supports our school.   Glenridge Reading and Art Night Thursday, February 26th at Glenridge. Free books for students, free cookies, fun reading station, books read by guests from the Kent Police Department and the Kent Fire Department, art lesson provided by Glenridge Art Docents. Buy some raffle tickets ($1 each or 6 for $5) for a chance to win a fire station tour, a ride in a patrol car, or an art kit.  Red, White and Hat Day Friday, February 27th Celebrate Dr. Seuss' Birthday by coming to school dressed in red and white from head to toe! Hats are okay for this spirit day!

Student Council Spirit Days The Student Council will be putting up posters promoting these special days around school. Here’s what’s coming up: Late start Wednesdays (March 4th, April 22nd, May 13th and June 3rd) wear your Glenridge t-shirt or school colors (navy blue, forest green and maroon red) and show your Voyager pride! Friday, March 6th Pajama and Crazy Hair Day: how creative can you get with your hair? Popcorn Friday is Back! Friday, March 6th Popcorn will sold during afternoon recess, remember to send 50¢ to school. Money raised support Glenridge programs. Please bring the exact change, it will help the process move faster and give the students more time to enjoy their popcorn.

Glenridge Spring Break Family Dance Come dance the night away on Thursday, March 12th 6:00 - 9:00. Free admission for Glenridge students and their families. More information coming soon! Student's Favorite Things About Glenridge Favorite school lunches are pizza and spaghetti, chicken nuggets and Brunch for Lunch are close behind. At recess there is always a line at the tire swing; kids also enjoy tetherball, tag and football. PE and Art are two popular classes.
