PTO WEEKLY UPDATE 05/03/15

Shout Out To:    Menchie's  Frozen Yogurt in Fairwood! Judith Viorst's acclaimed children's Book is brought to the big screen. Alexander's day begins with gum stuck in his hair, followed by more calamities. However, he finds little sympathy from his family and begins to wonder if bad things only happen to him, his mom, dad, brother and sister - who all find themselves living through their own terrible, horrible, no good, very bad day. Come see this month's selection on PTO movie night Friday, May 8th at 6:30pm in the Glenridge cafeteria. This is a free event for students and their families. Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support school programs. This is not a drop off event; children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

PTO Meeting The next PTO Meeting is Tuesday, May 12th at 7:00 pm in the Glenridge library. Free childcare is provided. We welcome everybody, the PTO is for all parents and guardians. Can't attend the meeting? Still want to share your ideas? Please leave a note with the office or contact us by email. Contest Between now and June 5th, bring in your Box Tops and Labels in a bag/envelope marked with the student's name and the name of their teacher. Remember each label is worth 10¢ and is a very easy way to donate to the school. Send in your labels today! Winning class gets ice cream!

The following are optional activities that you can choose to participate in, do one or all five and have fun! Monday - Fan Mail - Use the bottom half of the sheet that came home in Friday Flyers, print more here or make your own card and write a note telling a staff member how they make your day better! Tuesday - Hide from the Paparazzi - Where a baseball hat and big sunglasses! Wednesday - Show Your School Spirit - Wear your school shirt or our school colors navy blue, hunter green and maroon! Thursday - Swag Day - Bring in a needed school supply or a treat for someone on staff! Friday - Red Carpet Ready - Come to school dressed in your best! It's time to order your 2014-2015 Glenridge Yearbook. Look for order forms that came home in Friday Flyers March 27th  and April 17th or download and print information on the PTO website.  Book Drive Spring cleaning? Make room on your bookshelves and set aside your unwanted books, books that you've outgrown and books that you loved and want to share. Later this year the PTO will be hosting a book sale, more details to follow.
