THANK YOU! - PTO Weekly Update 12-06-15

Thank you! Our Holiday Breakfast was a fabulous success! Thanks to all of our amazing volunteers, the wonderful staff that came in on a Saturday, the talented students that performed and all of you that joined us. Together we raised $446 for Providence Regina House, a great way to kick off the holidays! A very special thank you to Becky Woo for putting together such a wonderful event! A giant thank you to Dee Miller for coordinating all of the yummy food!  Photo booth pictures are ready and can be downloaded here. Drama Club Everyone knows the story of Peter Pan. But how did the Boy Who Never Grew Up learn to fly? How did Hook lose his hand? How did the croc swallow the clock? This enchanting musical provides the answers! All 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th grade students are welcome to join us for this year’s production of Hook and Peter Pan: How It All Began. PTO Drama club provides the “stage” for our young actors and is truly a once in a lifetime opportunity. Plus, it is tons of fun for everyone. We will have two nights of production, March 31st and April 1st. Join the School Improvement Team! The S.I.T. meeting is December 8, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm in the Glenridge Library. As part of a collaboration of staff, parents and community member you will help establish plans for improvement and change, hear about opportunities to get involved and make an impact in your child's education. PTO Meeting Join us for the next Parent Teacher Organization meeting, December 8, 2015 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Glenridge Library. Free childcare is provided. PTO Family Movie Night When the evil spirit Pitch launches an assault on Earth, the Immortal Guardians team up to protect the innocence of children all around the world. Come see this month's selection on PTO Movie Night, Friday, December 11, 2015 at 6:30 in the cafeteria. This is a free event for students and their families. Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support school programs. This is not a drop off event; children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Spiritwear Update There has been a slight delay in our spiritwear orders, we still expect to send them home before the holiday break. Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions. Jamba Juice  Tuesday, December 15th, Jamba Juice will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send $2 to school.  Exact change will help the process move faster and give students more time to enjoy their treat. Money raised supports Glenridge programs. Drama Announcements Role announcements will be made December 15th 3:45 -5:00!  Be there to get your rehearsal schedule and do our first script read through! Drama Rehearsal Rehearsals begin for Hook and Peter Pan: How it all Began, January 6th at 3:45 - 5:00.  Rehearsals will take place every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday afternoon (if school is in session) until March 24th.
