PTO Update 1-15-17

Box Top Scramble Our school grade teams are turning in box tops every day and the race is tight! Kindergarten and First Grade tied in the race to the first prize square! A reward will be sent to their classrooms soon! A big CONGRATULATIONS to them!  There are more prizes to be had! Contest ends February 10th! Send your box tops to school labeled with your child's name and teacher's name so we can give credit to the right team. The winning team will receive extra recess time and a treat. Your team will move ahead a square on the game board for every 20 Box Tops you collect and bring in.  Don't wait until the last minute, send in your Box Tops today! 2017 Tech Expo Come to the ShoWare Center, Thursday, January 19 6:00 - 8:30, for a free family event to see how our students and staff use technology to become "Modern learners ready for college and careers". Glenridge staff and students will be presenting, as well as people from throughout the whole school district. Bus shuttles will be run between Kent-Meridian High School (10020 SE 256th St, Kent, WA 98030) and ShoWare Center every 15 minutes between 5:50 and 9:00 p.m. Learn more about this year's Tech Expo here. Jamba Juice Jamba Juice smoothie sales will take place during afternoon recess on Tuesday, January 24th.  Remember to send $2 with your child to school! Proceeds support Glenridge PTO programs like field trip transportation and Accelerated Reader. Spirit Day Friday, January 27th is a student council spirit day. It's Twin Day! Come to school dressed like your friends! Wear the same shirt or the same colors, you could even do your hair the same way.

Book Fair Help set up and staff the book fair. Help setup February 10th at noon or help customers February 13th and 14th 9:00 am - 7:30 pm and February 15th and 16th 9:00 am - 3:00 pm. Would you like to help put on Glenridge Book Fairs? We need a new Book Fair Chair! This is the perfect time to take this on, while you can learn the ropes from someone with experience. To help contact the PTO or Sue Crissey in the Glenridge Library at 253-373-2488. Staff Dinner The PTO is planning our next staff dinner for Monday, February 13th. Everyone works so hard during conference week, this gives them one less thing to worry about. If you would like to contribute we are looking for side dishes like soups, salads, and desserts. Please let the PTO know if you can help. Items will need to be at the school on February 13th by 4:00 pm. We need volunteers for setup at 4:00 pm and cleanup at 6:30 pm.
