Welcome Voyagers! PTO Update 9-4-17

Welcome Back! Welcome to the 2017-2018 school year! We hope you had a relaxing summer break and are ready to jump into an exciting fun-filled school year! The Glenridge PTO is here to support the whole school community. Through fundraising the PTO provides field trip transportation, reading programs, classroom supplies, and more. We also sponsor family events throughout the year, like the Fall Carnival, the Holiday Breakfast, Reptile Man and the Spring Dance. In order to be successful, we need your support. You can help by: Read all information that comes home and return items as needed. Follow our Facebook page for updates. Send in pictures of Glenridge Students at Glenridge events for the yearbook. Update your profile to include the volunteer list and have opportunities emailed to you. Register or update your information with VIPS so you can be ready to volunteer. Please look over fundraising packets and share with family and friends. Read over our Shop and Earn list and see what programs you can join to help. Give your time; in the classroom, at events, after hours at home, it all helps. If we all work together and do what works for each of us individually, what the students will gain from all of us is priceless. Please come to our next meeting (September 19 at 7:00 pm) or send us an email if you have ideas, questions, or would like to help.  Backpack Winners It was great meeting so many of you at the Ice Cream Social. Stop by the PTO table September 12th at Curriculum Night for our next giveaway! Pictures Did you get some great pictures of Glenridge students at the Ice Cream Social or on the first day of school? Send them to us for the yearbook committee!  Popcorn Friday Friday, September 8th popcorn will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send 50¢ to school. Sending the exact change will help the process move faster and give students more time to enjoy their popcorn. Money raised will support Glenridge PTO programs. If you'd like to help on popcorn days we'd love to have you, contact the PTO for more information.

School Supplies If you haven't sent in your school supplies yet, now is a great time to shop clearance sales for them. Find your school supply list here. Box Tops Summer Box Tops are due September 8th! Bring in 10 and get a treat. This year Glenridge set their Box Top goal at $1500.00. If every student sent in 4 box tops a month for the rest of the year, we would blow right past that goal! Don't forget to ask family and friends for help collecting.
