See what opportunities are available here.   Fall Carnival Pre-Order Get your unlimited inflatables wristband and game tickets to the Fall Carnival, Friday, October 20th at the door or order online and skip the big line and start having fun right away! Big Kahuna Fundraiser We are so thankful for all of your hard work on this fundraiser! A big THANK YOU to all of you for supporting your students, the PTO, and Glenridge in our fundraising efforts. Because of you, we will be able to continue to support many Glenridge PTO programs. More information will be coming home about prizes and deliveries in November. Goal Setting Conferences  Goal Setting Conferences will take place all week, October 23 - 27, 2017. Please check the date and time for your student’s conference. Students will be released from school at 12:55 pm all week. Teachers have been busy assessing students, reviewing student data, and setting goals for each student in reading, writing, and math. With those goals in mind, teachers are also teaching students to set similar goals and will be sharing those plans with parents at conferences. We believe this process will be more meaningful to both you and the students. Setting goals for learning is a natural part of our teaching and learning process and student learning becomes even more meaningful when children and parents are given the opportunity for participation. Teaching students to set goals is also a component of our state learning standards and instructional models. It is also an excellent opportunity to learn the self-evaluation process. Helping our students to understand and achieve their learning goals is one important step in successfully preparing all students for their future.  Staff Dinner Sign up to Help out at the Fall Staff Dinner, Monday, October 23rd and help them out during a very busy week. Book Fair Through the book fair, Glenridge earns scholastic dollars that pay for new books in our library, important subscriptions and reading programs for our students. Stop by after your goal setting conference, October 23 - 26, 2017 and take home something new.  Book fair Hours: Monday, October 23rd ~ 8:45 am - 7:30 pm Tuesday, October 24th ~ 8:45 am - 7:30 pm Wednesday, October 25th ~ 8:45 am - 3:30 pm Thursday, October 26th ~ 8:45 am - 1:15 pm There are still opportunities to help, volunteers get $5 in Scholastic dollars to spend at the fair! Well behaved children are welcome to help their parents. Glenridge Goes Out to Eat The Glenridge PTO is going to be hosting monthly "Out to Eat" fundraisers at local restaurants. These restaurants share 15-50% of the night proceeds with the Glenridge PTO, which helps us meet our fundraising goals. Pick your top three, the survey closes this weekend and with only one question it will only take a minute of your time! We will be contacting the top choices to schedule Glenridge nights.

Jamba Juice Tuesday Jamba Juice smoothie sales will take place during afternoon recess on Tuesday, October 17, 2017.  Remember to send $2 with your child to school! Money raised supports Glenridge programs. Holiday Breakfast We need a new Holiday Breakfast Coordinator! Our annual Holiday Breakfast is in danger of being canceled! Scheduled for the morning of December 2, you will have the full support of the PTO board and the tools to make this successful a successful event. If you would like to organize this year's holiday Breakfast contact the PTO today! Box Top Contest Ends The Box Tops contest ends Friday, October 27th, the class that collects the most will win free popcorn in November! Many expire 11/1/17 send them in now! Remember to keep asking, friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers to help out, and try the  Box Top app! Donation Requests We looking for someone or many someones who would like to help us solicit donations for future raffles and other events throughout the school year. The requests can be made in person, through the mail, or online (both by filling out forms and sending email). We can provide you with a list of companies that have given to us in the past as well as sample letters and additional resources to make this an easy process.  This is a great way to help out from home! Contact the PTO if you'd like to help!

Dance/Drill Clinic Sponsored by the Kentridge Chatelaine Dance Team November 4th at Kentridge High School Dance/drill basic fundamentals, leaps, turns and kicks. A beginning, intermediate and advanced workshop will be offered, plus a routine to show parents at the end of the day!
