PTO Update 1-14-18

PTO Family Movie Night Gru meets his long-lost charming, cheerful, and more successful twin brother Dru who wants to team up with him for one last criminal heist. Join us in the multipurpose room at Glenridge January 19, 2018, at 6:30 pm for a showing of Despicable Me 3. This is a free event for students and their families. Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support PTO programs. This is not a drop-off event, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Ivar's Night Make plans to enjoy great seafood at Ivar’s and earn money for Glenridge. Twenty percent of all sales go to our school! Thursday, January 25th 5:00-7:00 pm at 25405 104th Avenue SE. Teachers and staff members will be there serving food and selling cookies. Come support Glenridge and visit with friends. Don't forget to invite friends, family, neighbors, and coworkers! Box Tops Contest The class that collects the most Box Tops before February 26, 2018, will win popcorn in March! Put your Box Tops in a bag or an envelope marked with your first and last name and the name of your teacher and return it to school before February 26th!   Spirit Day The Glenridge Student Council is having their next spirit day.  Lumberjack Day!  January 26th wear your favorite plaid and boots to school and show off your hard-working side! Please leave your tools at home, axes and saws won't be allowed or needed.

KSD Levy In the February 13, 2018, special election, the Kent School District community will be asked to vote on two levies supporting education, programs, operations, technology, and capital improvements in our schools while decreasing local school tax rates. Learn how both #KSDlevy propositions are essential to successfully preparing our students for their futures at www.ksdlevy.org. Please take the time to research the two levies and see how they will affect you and your family and vote yes on February 13th. The online voter registration deadline is January 15th. Register at www.myvote.wa.gov. PTO Our PTO board is looking for some new recruits. Several board members and committee chairs will be moving on to middle school at the end of the year and even more of them will be leaving at the end of the 2019 school year. We are looking for individuals that would be interested in either taking over a position in the 2018-2019 school year or taking on an assistant position, where you could learn the details of the job. Positions are not limited to but include president, vice president, treasurer, recording secretary, communications secretary, yearbook chair, popcorn chair, bookfair chair, donations chair, fall carnival chair, holiday breakfast chair, fundraiser chair, drama chair, and staff appreciation chair.  If you are interested in learning more, please contact the PTO.
