#ENOUGH National School Walkout
On March 14th at 10:00 am, students, teachers, school administrators, parents and allies will participate in a school walkout to bring attention to gun violence in our country. Kent School District Superintendent Dr. Calvin Watts has issued a statement and you should have received a letter from Glenridge on Friday.
The school is not officially participating in the walkout at 10:00 am, but will follow district policy regarding excused and unexcused absences. If a parent wishes to have their children participate in the walkout, they have asked that you go to the office and check them out of school. They have also asked that your child not leave the campus if possible.
At 10:40, the entire school will participate in classroom based activity connecting peers with each other to make cards, which will be sent to schools impacted by violence. Additionally, students who wish to participate further are encouraged to wear orange in support of the Wear Orange movement designed to bring further attention to gun violence.
