It's Read-a-Thon time! PTO Weekly Update 10-04-15

It's READ-A-THON time! Now through November 5th help the Glenridge PTO raise money for our school. We are raising money with Learn2Earn to fund Accelerated Reader and Raz-Kids. Two reading programs that students and teachers use to help motivate our kids, help them reach their personal reading goals and meet Kent School District reading standards. Information on how to set up an account for your child came home on Friday. Please take time to read the information, help your child activate their account and send out sponsor requests.
A short video on account set up can be found here.
A short video on how to sponsor your child and how to invite others to sponsor your child can be found here.
You can follow our fundraising progress here.
If you have any questions please contact the PTO or support at Learn2Earn.
A heartwarming tale about a boy and his dog. Art Docents

Art docent volunteers are parents, grandparents, friends of students, community members and senior citizen volunteers.  Free training courses are given at Green River Community College by the Interurban Center for the Arts. We also have training at Glenridge. The art docents have learned basic art concepts to teach the children. They have also learned how to present an art project that will reinforce what they have discussed with the children. See this year's art selection here.
There are currently many classrooms without art docents if you would like to help the following are in need:
