Learn2Earn Read-A-Thon Fundraiser A very big THANK YOU to everyone who helped bring our Learn2Earn fundraiser to a successful end. While numbers are still being totaled and money is still being collected, it looks like we just hit our goal of $5,000! A big achievement! We couldn't have done it without each of you. Grand totals and awards will be announced at the beginning of December after everyone has had a chance to send in offline donations (please encourage family and friends to take care of it quickly). We'd love to know what your thoughts on using Learn2Earn; would you like to see it next year? was it easy to use? did you feel you had enough information?  Please send in your thoughts to the PTO or come to the next meeting (11-10-15 @7:00) and be part of the planning! Join the School Improvement Team! The S.I.T. meeting is November 10, 2015 from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm in the Glenridge Library. As part of a collaboration of staff, parents and community member you will help establish plans for improvement and change, hear about opportunities to get involved and make an impact in your child's education. Popcorn Friday Friday, November 13th, popcorn will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send 50¢ to school. Please send the exact change, it will help the process move faster and give students more time to enjoy their popcorn. Money raised will support Glenridge programs. PTO Meeting Join us for the next Parent Teacher Organization meeting, November 10, 2015 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Glenridge Library. Free childcare is provided. We welcome everybody, the PTO is for all parents and guardians. Can't attend the meeting?  Still want to share your ideas? Please leave a note with the office or contact us by email. Picture Retake Day  Hellriegel's Foto will be taking student portraits Tuesday, November 10th. Students who were absent on the original picture day or if you were not happy with the original prints, you can send them back today and request retakes. If you did not order a photo package on picture day but would like to do so now, turn in the order form and payment by Monday, November 9th. Please send check or exact change. Come see this month's movie on PTO Movie Night, Friday, November 13, 2015 at 6:30 in the cafeteria. After young Riley is uprooted from her Midwest life and moved to San Francisco, her emotions - Joy, Fear, Anger, Disgust and Sadness - conflict on how best to navigate a new city, house, and school. This is a free event for students and their families. Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support school programs. This is not a drop off event; children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Value Village Donation Drive A no purchase fundraiser! Start saving items you, your kids and other family members no longer need or want and Glenridge will earn money from our donations. Bring your donation to: Value Village November 14th 9:00 am - 1:00 pm 24034 104th Ave SE Value Village accepts: clothing, shoes, hats, scarves, jewelry, accessories, bags, wallets, bedding, towels, curtains, tablecloths, toys, small household goods and appliances, books, CD’s and DVD’s. Jamba Juice  Tuesday, November 24th, Jamba Juice will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send $2 to school.  Exact change will help the process move faster and give students more time to enjoy their treat.
