A big THANK YOU to Ivar's in Kent! Thank you to the Glenridge staff that helped out, the students loved having you there! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported Glenridge at Ivar’s. It was a great success!! We earned $416 that will support Glenridge PTO programs like Accelerated Reader, drama and field trip transportation!  Hope everyone had a great time and wonderful dinners! Come visit with friends and show off your ice skating skills at the Sno-King Ice Arena, Friday, February 5, 2016 from 6:30 to 8:15 pm. Skate rental and skating session are $8 a person, 50% of proceeds go to Glenridge. Be sure to warm up in the private room with hot chocolate and cookies provided by the PTO! This is not a drop off event children must be accompanied by a responsible adult. • $8 per person; skate rental included • Dress warm - layers are a good idea! • Protect your head - bring a helmet!

PTO Meeting Join us for the next Parent Teacher Organization meeting, February 2, 2016 from 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm in the Glenridge Library. Free childcare is provided. We welcome everybody, the PTO is for all parents and guardians. Have ideas you want to share?  This is the place to do it! Can't be there? Contact us by email. SIT Meeting The School Improvement Team meeting is February 2, 2016 from 4:00 pm - 5:30 pm in the Glenridge Library. As part of a collaboration of staff, parents and community members you will help establish plans for improvement and change, hear about opportunities to get involved and make an impact in your child's education.

Popcorn Friday Friday, February 5th, popcorn will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send 50¢ to school. Please send the exact change, it will help the process move faster and give students more time to enjoy their popcorn. Money raised will support Glenridge programs. Spirit Wear Day Friday, February 5th is a spirit wear day! Wear your Glenridge t-shirt or our school colors (navy blue, forest green and maroon) and show your Voyager pride!  HELP Book Fair Help set up and staff the book fair. There are still shift available,, set up is February 5th 1:00 - 3:00 and sales will run February 8th and 9th 9:00-7:30, February 10th 9:00- 3:00 and February 11th 9:00 - 1:00.  To help contact Sue Crissey in the Glenridge Library at 253-373-2488. Staff Dinner The PTO is planning our next staff  dinner for Monday, February 8th at 5:30. Everyone works so hard during conference week, this gives them one less thing to worry about.  If you would like to contribute we are looking for  side dishes (the main dish will be provided) with an Italian theme: antipasto salads, fruit, dessert, soups, breads etc. Please let the PTO know if you will be bringing something. Items will need to be at the school on February 8th by 4:00 pm. Printer Ink Recently the PTO was generously gifted a printer to use for small printing jobs, but we need ink! We are looking for HP 564 Ink Cartridges in black, cyan, magenta and yellow. Contact the PTO if you can help! Book Fair Plan to stop in the library and see what's new during Parent Teacher Conference week, February 8th - 11th. The Kentridge High School Chatelaine Dance Team will be offering a Junior Dance/Drill Clinic on Saturday March 5, 2016 from 9:00am – 2:30pm. Registration forms can be downloaded here and should be filled out and mailed to the address at the bottom of the registration form BEFORE Saturday February 27, 2016. The Clinic runs from 9:00am – 2:30pm with registration beginning at 9:00am. Registrations received after Saturday February 27, 2016 will be $40.00.
