Staff Appreciation Week! PTO Weekly Update 05-01-16

Staff Appreciation Week!

May 2nd - May 6th is Glenridge Staff Appreciation Week! We’d like to invite all Glenridge students and their families to show their gratitude to the Glenridge staff all week! The following are optional activities that you can choose to participate in, do one or all five; remember to keep it simple, follow all school rules and have fun!

• Monday - Mail Day - Tell a teacher or staff member how they make your day better! Print out this sheet at home or check your Friday Flyers for one sent home last week.
• Tuesday - Dress Like a Farmer or Gardener - Wear your straw hat and overalls! Let’s encourage everyone to Bloom and Grow!
• Wednesday - Come in Your Best - Show the staff your best self today!
• Thursday - Supply Day - Bring in a needed school supply or a treat for someone on staff!
• Friday - Show Your School Spirit - Wear your school shirt or our school colors navy blue, hunter green and maroon!

Popcorn Friday

Friday, May 6th, popcorn will be sold during afternoon recess. Remember to send 50¢ to school. Please send the exact change, it will help the process move faster and give students more time to enjoy their popcorn. Money raised will support Glenridge programs.

Box Tops and Labels for Education Contest

The last contest of the school year is here! Turn in your Box Tops and Labels to your teacher (your name and teacher's name on the envelope) byJune 10th!  Winning class gets ice cream!

It’s time to place your 2015-2016 yearbook order! Get more than 50 pages of colorful memories to treasure all for only $16!  Send in your order today!  

SIT Meeting

Join the School Improvement Team, Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 4:00 in the Glenridge library. Help establish plans for improvement and change, get involved in activities and events, Impact your child's education.

PTO Meeting

The next PTO Meeting is Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 7:00 pm in the Glenridge library. Free childcare is provided. We welcome everybody, the PTO is for all parents and guardians. Can't attend the meeting? Still want to share your ideas? Please leave a note with the office or contact us by email.

PTO Movie

12-year-old orphan Peter is spirited away to the magical world of Neverland, where he finds both fun and danger, and ultimately discovers his destiny -- to become the hero who will be forever known as Peter Pan.
Come see Pan on PTO Movie Night, Friday, May 13, 2016 at 6:30 in the cafeteria. This is a free event for students and their families. Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support school programs. This is not a drop off event; children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.

Menchie's Night

Come to Menchie's Night May 19th 4:00 - 9:00 pm see your friends and have a yummy treat!  Don't forget your flyer!
