PTO Update 04/15/18

Congratulations! Congratulations to the cast and crew of the Lion King Jr! What an amazing two nights of performances! All of your hard work and dedication really paid off! We look forward to seeing what you will do next! Get a Video and pictures of our performances! Order by Friday, April 20, 2018. Thank You Putting on a production like the Lion King Jr takes lots of hands and thankfully so many of you were able to help out. A big THANK YOU to Erin Balla and Beth Hillberry who make sure our students had a drama program this year, our students take so much away from the experience. Thank you to the staff members who shared their talents and loaned us so much space. Thank you to the parents, so many of you showed us your amazing talents, and some of you learned something new to help us out! A heartfelt thank you to our community members who recognize how an experience like this will benefit many. We also want to thank you, the families who came out to watch our students show off their months of hard work, they were so excited to show their friends and family what they've been working on.  We asked you to bring donations for our classrooms, by the second half of the year so much needs replacing, and you came through in ways we couldn't imagine! The pile of donations was such a wonderful sight! The monetary donations will go to help fill in areas we missed and was so appreciated. While the curtain has been closed on this amazing season we look forward to a new adventure next year!

Pictures Needed The 2017-2018 yearbook committee is busy getting this year's book put together and we need your help! Send any picture you've got (phone pictures are great) of Glenridge students to the PTO. PTO Meeting We will be accepting nominations for the upcoming school year’s PTO Board at our next meeting (April 17th at 7:00 pm). Being a PTO Board member gives you a chance to help shape your child’s school experience, and have a voice in the planning and funding of Glenridge PTO programs and events. Board members will be asked to attend our monthly board meeting, as well as attend our events as an active member. When more parents get involved, we can accomplish so much more. Glenridge needs our time, talent, and commitment.

Thank you Thank you to the Kent East Hill Nursery for donating to our Green Team Earth Day efforts!  If you are in looking to add to your garden be sure to stop by! The Green Team will be planting all day on Friday, April 20, 2018, to celebrate Earth Day, if you would like to contribute to the Green Team with either a donation or your time please let Mrs. Long in the office know! Chipotle Spirit Night Make dinner a selfless act by joining us for a fundraiser to support Glenridge PTO. Come into the Chipotle at 512 Ramsay Way Suite 101 at Kent Station on Tuesday, April 24th between 5:00 pm and 9:00 pm. Bring your flyer (look for it in your Friday Flyer this week), show it on your smartphone and tell the cashier you’re supporting our cause to make sure that 50% of the proceeds will be donated to Glenridge PTO. PTO Movie Night Aspiring musician Miguel, confronted with his family's ancestral ban on music, enters the Land of the Dead to find his great-great-grandfather, a legendary singer Bring your family and join us in the multipurpose room at Glenridge on April 27, 2018, at 6:30 pm for a showing of Coco. This is a free event for students and their families. Concessions will be available for purchase; funds raised will support PTO programs. This is not a drop-off event, children must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
